AS-Tech Cold Air Intake System Lotus Exige 1.8L / 04-08The Lotus Exige is another addition to the Lotus family of lightweight sports cars. It weighs 935 kg or (2057 lbs) and is powered by a 218 horsepower supercharged engine. It is essentially a coupe version of the Lotus Elise, which is a roadster. Available in North America and around the globe, the Exige has used an efficient Toyota engine since 2005.
AS-Tech has designed a performance air intake system for the 2004-2008 Lotus Exige 1.8 liter engine. The custom design uses
a washable reusable air filter.
The AS-Tech is designed to eliminate hot air problems and provide the benefits of an open cone filter with a standard air box in one unit with modified air flow.
As-Tech created a POSITIVE Air Flow in the original air Box, giving the engine more power.The positioning of the cold air feed on the As-Tech System allows cooler outside air to enter the unit.
As-Tech also prevented the hot air from the engine to flow to the air filter.
The As-Tech cold air intake system was Custom build to fit the Lotus Exige. By keeping the original mass air sensor pad, As-Tech keeps the Lotus Exige running within its factory settings. There was no need to reprogram the factory settings after installation.
